Harvest Christian Academy
Our Mission
Harvest Christian Academy has a mission to provide quality Christian child care while also providing early childhood education that is developmentally age appropriate to our community. Our Academy uses a solid educational curriculum that prepares children for school. The teachers at HCA are well trained and knowledgeable in early childhood education. The staff here at Harvest Christian Academy are CPR certified and First Aid trained. Our facility also performs assessments that track developmental and cognitive growth of your child. Harvest Christian Academy has an open door policy which encourages parent participation. We believe that making a positive difference in children’s lives help shape our world into a better place.
Classrooms
Harvest Christian Academy offers a small classroom environment with low teacher to child ratios, thus providing more one on one interaction with your child. We use Frog Street Learning curriculum which is a developmentally appropriate curriculum for each age group we serve. Our teachers incorporate an educational bible based foundation that prepares your child for school and life. This curriculum provides opportunities for large group, small group and outdoor gross motor skill activities. All lesson plans meet the Sunshine State Standards. Should your child need additional services, physical therapy, speech and language services can be arranged.
Meals
At Harvest Christian Academy we serve hot cooked breakfast and lunch, as well as afternoon snacks. All meals meet the USDA food pyramid guidelines.
Recreational Activities
HCA has a large outdoor playground with covered area and water fountains. We have monthly scheduled fieldtrips to local events and community activities. Some special events our facility incorporates into our year include but not limited to Safety September, Fall Festival, special Thanksgiving and Christmas lunches with the parents, and many fun activities and field trip in between.
